The privately-owned town in Gillespie County, about 75 miles northwest of San Antonio, will return to its previous name, Bankersmith, according to the Austin American-Statesmen. The town, located on Old San Antonio Road, was intended to become a tourist attraction tied to the chain, which requires its waitresses to wear bikinis, of course. It was not an exciting day for all, nearby residents protested the event, upset that the attention was disrupting the normally quiet area with parking congestion and drunk patrons leaving the property. The town, now renamed Bankersmith, features a hall where people can celebrate weddings and other special occasions with a full bar and quality sound and lighting systems.
